Viewing lists within SharePoint using datasheet view may cause Internet Explorer to crash when using recent versions of Office 365. The error signature within the Event Viewer Windows Logs > Application will indicate a faulting application: IExplore.exe and faulting module: ucrtbase.dll.
The engineering team is aware of and working to fix this issue. In the meantime, reverting to 16.0.9330.2124 or earlier build of Office is the currently recommended solution.
You may run the following commands via elevated command prompt to revert Office to a working version:
cd “c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\clicktorun”
OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.9330.2124
